This is an example of a birthday cake topper for a child's first birthday that I can create for you. For this custom order, the theme of the party is 'Where the Wild Things Are' ~ That was a favorite book in our house when my kids were little, so I was very familiar with the characters. 'The book tells the story of Max, who one evening plays around his home making "mischief" in a wolf costume. As punishment, his mother sends him to bed without supper. In his room, a mysterious, wild forest and sea grows out of his imagination, and Max sails to the land of the Wild Things. The Wild Things are fearsome-looking monsters and Max is made "the king of all wild things", dancing with the monsters in a "wild rumpus". However, he soon finds himself lonely and homesick and returns home to his bedroom where he finds his supper waiting for him still hot.'
'Max' is in his jammies and barefoot, his cute little toes peeking out. I created 'old fashioned' one piece jammies, with a little buttoned flap in the back. He is King, wearing his crown and holding his wand... He is so cute, standing approximately 4" tall, on a 3" base, with his little "dog-monsters" beside him, one with claws and horns on the other. I added some leaves and sticks around the edge of the base to give the topper the feel of the forest.
